Bulk Edit – a faster way to edit Fixed Price listings
Save time by making changes to your multi-quantity Fixed Price listings using the Bulk edit functionality. Depending on the tool, you’ll be able to make edits to the descriptions of up to 1,000 listings in one sitting – even those that have had a sale. For a sale made before your update, there’ll be a record of the original listing as it appeared at the time the item sold.

The Basics

With bulk editing, there are a few things that can’t be changed once a listing is live, such as:

  • Title
  • Categories
  • Format
  • Duration

If you are selling with Best Offer, you are limited in the types of changes you can make to listings with outstanding offers on them. It’s best to ensure that you have responded to all outstanding offers (accepted, rejected, expired or retracted) before you try to edit your listings. Troubleshooting

Receiving error messages when you send your listings to bulk edit? Try these tips:

1. Start simple.

Read the error message to see which listings aren’t working properly, then go back to correct the error. For example, if you’ve bulk edited 100 listings and there is an issue with two of them, the other 98 will still update correctly.

2. Double check your work.

Are you trying to edit a field that you’re not allowed to edit? Have outstanding Best Offers on a listing? These are some of the most common errors in bulk editing. Learn more about restrictions on making revisions

3. Narrow it down.

If your edits are still rejected, then try cutting down the number of fields you are trying to edit or reduce the number of listings you are editing..

5. Ask for help.

You can contact us at any point for immediate assistance.
