Which option is best for me?

1. Basic international selling

This is the quickest and easiest way to get started. There’s minimal effort and no additional cost involved – all you need to do is provide international postage details on your domestic listings to get some visibility on international sites.

2. Advanced international selling

Advanced international selling enables you to tailor your listings to the local market (e.g. set prices in the local currency or list in the local language) by listing directly on to an international site.  You can list on international sites from your existing eBay account, but you’ll be charged insertion fees for each item you list.

From November, sellers will be able to create and manage listings on all European and Australian sites from their existing eBay.co.uk account for a single monthly subscription.

New features launching for basic international selling

New – Buyers offered tool to translate your listings on eBay.com

Many buyers in countries without an eBay site, shop on eBay.com. Later this year, these international eBay.com buyers will see even more listings. They will see items that sellers have listed on eBay.com and also items listed on eBay.co.uk, eBay.ca, or eBay.com.au.

You can continue to list as usual, specifying the postage costs and service to the countries you’ll dispatch to.

We also intend to offer a translation feature, so when your listing is shown, international buyers will be able to request a translation of your item title and description.

New features launching for advanced international selling

New – single monthly subscription to list internationally

From November, eBay Top-rated sellers will be able to list on all European sites and eBay.com.au at no extra cost for a single monthly Anchor Shop subscription.

If you currently have an Anchor shop subscription and are an eBay Top-rated seller domestically, you’ll be able to opt in to receive the new benefits in My eBay by selecting the Account tab and Subscriptions.

A single monthly subscription of €449.99 gives you:

  • Zero insertion fees for 30-day and Good ‘Til Cancelled fixed price listings on domestic, European and Australian sites
  • $0.03 insertion fee for 30-day and Good ‘Til Cancelled fixed price listings on eBay.com.
  • Final value fees charged according to the site that you list the item on. (You’ll also be charged relevant feature fees.)
  • Create an eBay Shop for each site you list on (coming in 2013).

More improvements to advanced international selling in 2013

From early 2013, we’re planning to make it even easier for you to list internationally. We’re developing new features to enable you to easily replicate your domestic listings on international sites. For example, we’ll suggest a translation of your item title and descriptions and the equivalent international category to list in. We’ll also help you create rules to assist with pricing your items for international buyers.
