Motors: comply with new European tyre law

European law is changing and you’ll be required to display tyre performance information in listings for tyres manufactured on or after 1 July 2012. From today, eBay is helping you to comply with the new European law by providing you with tyre fuel efficiency, wet grip performance and external rolling noise item specifics.

From November 2012, listings for tyres manufactured on or after 1 July 2012 with item condition ‘New’, ‘New other’ and ‘Used’ must contain the appropriate tyre performance information.

The new information will appear as above on your tyre product listings.

When to use tyre item specifics

You should use tyre item specifics for all listings of four wheel vehicles such as cars, commercial vehicles and camper tyres manufactured on or after 1 July 2012.
